How Much Does Mold Testing Cost in Las Vegas?

Free for Property Owners

Mold Eliminators offers free mold testing for property owners in Las Vegas. If you own the property and you are concerned about mold, you deserve honest information before paying anyone anything. Call us and we will come out, assess the property, and tell you what we find.

Many companies charge between $300 and $800 for an initial inspection and testing package before any work begins. That is not how we operate. A company that charges you to find a problem it then gets paid to fix has an obvious conflict of interest. Our testing is free because we want you to trust the results.

What Professional Testing Actually Includes

Professional mold testing is not a visual inspection and a guess. A thorough assessment starts with a systematic walkthrough of the entire property, identifying visible growth, water staining, moisture damage, and conditions that support mold development. That includes checking inside cabinets, behind appliances, in utility spaces, and around HVAC equipment.

Air sampling collects samples from inside the home and from outdoors. The outdoor sample establishes a baseline for what is normal on that specific day. If indoor spore concentrations significantly exceed outdoor levels, active mold growth is confirmed even when nothing is visible. This is how we find mold growing inside walls, in ductwork, and in other concealed spaces.

When visible growth is present, tape lift or swab samples from the affected surface go to an independent laboratory for species identification and concentration analysis. Bulk samples from suspected materials can also be submitted when more detail is needed.

Why Independent Labs Are Non-Negotiable

All samples collected by Mold Eliminators go to an independent, third-party laboratory. This is a deliberate policy that eliminates the conflict of interest created when the testing company and the remediation company are the same entity.

An independent lab has no financial interest in the outcome. The results reflect what is in the samples. Full stop. Those results also carry significantly more weight with insurance companies, landlords, and in legal disputes than in-house testing from the company that stands to benefit from a positive finding.

Craig Herrmann co-authored the ANSI/IICRC S520 standard, the national protocol for professional mold remediation. S520-compliant documentation backed by independent lab results is the standard insurance carriers and legal proceedings recognize. That is what we provide on every project.

Post-Remediation Verification Testing

After remediation is complete, Mold Eliminators conducts post-clearance verification through independent laboratory air testing. This confirms that indoor spore levels have returned to normal before we consider a job finished. You receive that documentation in writing from a third-party lab, not just our word that the work is done.
